Joseph
The favored son, sold by his brothers

Who Joseph is
Joseph is the eleventh son of Jacob and his favorite. His father gives him a tunic of many colors, and his dreams of his brothers bowing to him turn their envy into hate.
Sold as a slave into Egypt, he serves Potiphar, is thrown into prison on a false charge, and is raised to rule Egypt after he explains Pharaoh’s dreams. When his brothers come to buy grain, he forgives them.
